Livity Football Academy

Livity Football Academy brings the joy of football to young people in Craigmillar and Niddrie. Every Saturday, players aged 5 to 18 train together, learn new skills and play games, whatever their level.

Our coaches put fun, teamwork and respect first, and our Lead Coach is a qualified first aider. Until December we train outdoors at Jack Kane Sports Centre, then we move indoors there for the winter.

With Portobello High School

Cycling: from first pedal to the podium

Through our partnership with Portobello High School, Livity young people build their cycling skills and confidence with coached sessions, including trips to Fife Cycle Park in Lochgelly. Portobello High School has donated bikes to help more girls and young women get riding.

This autumn our riders lined up at the Edinburgh RC 2026 Inch Park Cyclocross, racing laps of the grass course in front of a cheering crowd.

Training sessions can change from week to week, so we ask all our cyclists to install the Heja app, where we share the latest times and details.

Mr McDowall, Head Teacher of Portobello High School, came to Livity to present Carolina with her bronze cowbell and an Edinburgh Road Club cycling top. Her dad and sister were there to share the moment, along with 60 other Livity young people, all proud of what she achieved.
